Yea well i dit it its just says ht2 stoped working but yes alot of pepole say that vista sucks and that windows xp was better I say try compatibility mode, and if you have a friend with a PC and VISTA or Windows 7, have them try run the game. So is the issue Windows, the PC, or another factor. The games run on the Windows 7 machine but not the VISTA machine, even in compatibility mode. Now both systems are different so can't confirm possible hardware issues with these games, but they are games for Windows XP. Jaquar, I don't know if that is to true, I am running windows 7 32bit, direct X 11 with my ATI radeon 5770 and I am playing Wizardry 8, which is a direct X 7 game (also runs direct x 6 and open gl).
